The Method

A Complete training system

HYROX asks for four things at once: endurance, strength, power, and pacing. One weekly class can’t build all of it. Your membership gives you the whole system, periodized to peak on race day.

HYROX Strength

The strength stations trained on official HYROX sleds, turf, and wall balls.

HYROX ENGINE

Aerobic capacity on the official HYROX erg machines, where most athletes quietly lose their time.

HYROX PERFORMANCE

Stations plus compromised running in full race-simulation format, so race day isn't your first rep of the real thing.

Plus: We run members-only race simulations with real wave starts on the road to HYROX Dallas.

The structural edge: layer in dedicated Olympic weightlifting and barbell strength under the same roof, the only OWL and HYROX gym in Dallas, and you have a multi-modal system no single-class gym can match.

FAQ

What is HYROX?

HYROX is a standardized fitness race: 8 rounds of a 1 km run followed by a functional station, run in the same order at every event worldwide. Stations include the SkiErg, sled push and pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges, and wall balls. Because the format never changes, you can train for it precisely and chase a real time.

Hunger in the Wild is an official HYROX Training Club in the Dallas Design District, at 1350 Manufacturing St, Suite 204. We’re the only gym in Dallas pairing dedicated HYROX training with Olympic weightlifting under one roof, with direct trail access for run work and 24/7 member access.

Yes. There are no qualification requirements and no time caps, and over 98% of participants finish. Every movement scales to your level, so you can start as a complete beginner and build toward a strong first race.

No. Classes are coached and scaled to your level, and over 98% of HYROX participants finish the race. Our training prepares you well beyond just finishing. You mainly need to show up consistently.

No. HYROX is built on simple, repeatable movements like running, sleds, rowing, lunges, and wall balls, with no complex barbell skills required to begin. If you’re coming from CrossFit you’ll adapt fast, but plenty of our athletes start with no CrossFit experience at all.

CrossFit is constantly varied and unpredictable on any given day. HYROX is one fixed format you can train and measure against. If you want a standardized race, a real clock, and a number to beat, HYROX gives you all three.

Enough time to build real capacity, not a quick fix. Most athletes come in for a race and stay because the training keeps making them fitter, faster, and harder to beat. Your coach builds a plan around your next race, then the one after that.

Most athletes train three to five days a week across our HYROX Strength, Engine, and Performance classes. Your coach builds the right weekly split around your schedule and your race date during your consultation.

Yes, and it’s one of our strengths. Our own coaches race doubles, including a sub-1:01 Pro Doubles result, and Kyle and Jess race mixed doubles together. We coach partner strategy, station splits, and transitions, not just solo training.

Yes. We coach athletes racing the Pro division, where the weights go up and the standard is higher. If you’re chasing a competitive or Pro time, your programming is built for it.

Yes. One membership includes HYROX Strength, Engine, and Performance, plus Olympic weightlifting, mobility, and 24/7 access. No separate HYROX fees.

Standard membership is $220 per 4-week cycle, with discounts on 3, 6, and 12-month cycles and no long-term contract. See membership pricing →
