Strength & HYROX Coach — 2 openings
Hunger in the Wild is Dallas’s official HYROX training club. We’re looking for two coaches to lead our Strength and HYROX group classes — people who can hold a room, scale a workout without lowering the standard, and genuinely care about the members in front of them.
What the role looks like
- Minimum 3–5 classes per week
- Consistent morning and evening availability
- Competitive pay, plus attendance and retention bonuses that grow with your contribution
What you’ll actually do
- Lead Strength and HYROX group classes with structured programming — scaling movements and loads without lowering the standard
- Own floor safety through cueing, technique correction, and injury prevention
- Build real relationships with members, not just run the clock
- Contribute to gym culture, events, and content beyond class hours
- Help cover teammates’ classes when needed
What we need from you
- A recognized coaching certification, or equivalent experience
- Current CPR / First Aid certification
- Prior coaching and leadership experience
- Consistent morning and evening availability
How we hire
Three steps, rolling review, flexible start date: submit your application, meet the team (a quick intro call and an in-person visit), then coach the room — a short trial where you run part of a class so we can see how you actually coach.
This isn’t a dead-end shift. Coaches here grow from building their own client base, into leading the floor, into shaping the brand through content and events, into running more of the business itself.
Not the right role today, but you want to coach here eventually? Email us — we keep good people on file for what’s next.
